Hunting The Stars

from Only The Brave Return by Claim The Throne

/

lyrics

He gazed upon the shifting sands
“What is this trickery?!”
Betrayal in the most grotesque of forms.
“You will die Ardimus!” said a voice
‘Never! You foul minion of darkness!”

This blood upon thy blade
With honest hands twas made

And so this long awaited battle
had finally began
under the overlooking stars of the night.
“Come forth!” they cried unto Ardimus.
“Unleash your wrath!”

This blood upon thy blade
With honest hands twas made
Oh oh oh
With blood upon thy blade
One thousand men ye has sleighed
Oh oh oh

(Scars from a battle once fought
- a battle once lost..)

We’ll stand tall
and never let the horizon fall!

On blood red snow he lies
This soil – once undisturbed
Now littered
With fallen heroes

As he looked upon the stars
with great awe
they spoke to him..
“Rise stronger, soldier of Marisneon,
Find yon power!”

Where does the valley end..
when the coldness subsides,
and the oceans are drifting away..
Into eternity
Life without end
Hidden behind the shadows of death…

Buried in the frost,
deep into the burning sky,
tears of blood pouring from their eyes.
Beyond what is now hungrily reaping
their pitiful souls passing through the gates
Winters Embrace

Although the lives of thousands were lost in battle
their legacy remained true..
This homeland forsaken
The scream of revenge!

Watching the moonlit night fade
Watching it slip away
Facing what is the only friend of a tear
Waiting for this to end now
Waiting to slip away
Facing a slow demise of a green kingdom.

Cold steel he has tasted
Now a cold fate he awaits
Hunting the stars to save thou soul.
Slain by savage hands
Slain by a mortal enemy
Slain by a tyrant
of true evil and hate

This blood upon thy blade
With honest hands twas made
Oh oh oh
(Scars from a battle once fought
- a battle once lost..)
With blood upon thy blade
One thousand men ye has sleighed
Oh oh oh

(Scars from a battle once fought
- a battle once lost..)
