Morts From its early years, the juggernaut-to-be that is Claim The Throne keeps its wheels in motion with this little EP of booze-soaked folk metal! They've already decided by this stage where they want to go musically, I think, but they've yet to fully hone their craft. Lyrically they will improve and widen their scope in the future as well. And these guys (and gal) absolutely slay as a live band! Favorite track: Set Sail On Ale.

Sing with the king Eat pork without a fork Feed off the land Give a helping hand As we approach the horizon Prepare to draw our swords As we approach the horizon We'll be remorseless and attack Of mead and weed When we succeed Celebrate a triumphant fate Of mead and weed When we succeed A toast to victory Fill up the drum with beer, mead and rum This quest shall entail the conquering of ale Prepare to draw our swords As we approach the horizon We'll be remorseless and attack

We've been fearless and courageous So veracious Festive comrades Kneel down now To the river And we'll drink here Frothing alestream Vigour has drained from the coming of the war Quench our craving So much mead brings the coming of the storm All join the guzzling Our journey has been long In pride we sing this song It's time to tell our tale And set sail on ale Gather round friends Fill your horns up from the torrent Just drink it Beer is flowing Just drink it Fueled by ale Vigour has drained from the coming of the war Quench our craving So much mead brings the coming of the storm All join the guzzling Our journey has been long In pride we sing this song It's time to tell our tale And set sail on ale

Around the table We reminisce and raise our drinks To the brave ones lost in war In glory they died Now as brothers by our side We celebrate their lives In honour and pride Telling the legends of warriors of old Telling a fable from an oaken table Many a day has passed Since we last took a breath of the air called freedom Now void of worry No trace of fear With feasting, friends and beer Telling the legends of warriors of old Telling a fable from an oaken table This vicious battle has come to an end The halt of brutal violence Slain bodies sadly laid to rest Might survivors travel wests Now gathered in triumph we tell the tales Amidst allies we revel These fables shall live on

Home again yon brothers of the land Gather round those wooden chairs and sing hand in hand Long time we have been gone and haven’t partied in a year So let’s have two pints of honey and a barrel full of beer Two pints of honey and a barrel full of beer We shall enjoy this night tonight as peril is not near Sing with me darling, my dear do not fear Let’s have two pints of honey and a barrel full of beer Dance with me lady, we’ll dance the night away Join the song, sing along, and in my arms ye shall stay If you snuggle up close you’ll hear me whisper in your ear – “Let’s have two pints of honey and a barrel full of beer” “Oh dear sire, how I have missed thee Being gone for oh so long I know we’re meant to be I come to you tonight, while all your friends are here and give you two pints of honey and a barrel full of beer” Two pints of honey and a barrel full of beer We shall enjoy this night tonight as peril is not near Sing with me darling, my dear do not fear Let’s have two pints of honey and a barrel full of beer
